Controlled destruction of scrap ammunition and other explosive materials left over from the production process of the "Vazovsky machine-building plants" EAD (VMZ) - Sopot, will be carried out within the framework of tomorrow, the company announced on its website.
This will happen at the "Anevo" training ground.
The operational management of the “VMZ” EAD has notified in advance the relevant institutions in the settlements of the municipalities of Karlovo and Sopot and assures the residents that there is no cause for concern.
The main production of the enterprise is anti-tank shells and other artillery ammunition, unguided aircraft missiles and detonators. Since 1947, the company has been a regular participant of the Plovdiv sample fair and the specialized exhibition “Hemus”, the company states.
