„It seems to me that Dimitar Glavchev will look for a different solution for the Ministry of the Interior. The political forces behind Kalin Stoyanov seem to have understood that it is necessary to move forward and hold elections. Sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov, manager of the "Market LINKS" agency, said this on BTV.
„Obviously, Kalin Stoyanov is important to Peevski. Even Boyko Borisov took a step back. There are no other political leaders, apart from Peevski, who would stand behind Stoyanov's candidacy,”, he added.
„The mutual accusations in DPS are based on investigations that have been carried out. Appeals to the prosecutor's office to start investigations have been heard more than once, but this ripens too late. DPS-Dogan did not find a problem for KTB. Initially, there was no problem for Dogan with the BBR. We are in a war of political clans and in its darkest phase. The entire country is a hostage to this process”, the sociologist pointed out.
„We saw the desire of Delyan Peevski for a rapid rise and privatization of DPS. There were negative reactions from communities in the Eastern Rhodopes, from the emigrants in Turkey. The elevation of Jevdet Chakarov failed to minimize the reactions. This makes Peevski more serious about strengthening actions to control the party, because it needs political legitimation, bearing in mind the sanctions it is subject to, he added.
„To some extent, the picture after the elections will repeat itself. We cannot be sure that the same political forces will be represented in the parliament. Those around the 4 percent barrier are vulnerable. We don't know how the DPS scenario will develop – who will get the registration, how will the lists be registered, will there be a legal battle. It is clear that the DPS around Dogan has nominal support among the Bulgarian Turks. It will not decrease. The question is how Delyan Peevski will position himself in the political space – whether with a different version of DPS or a different project. This is the big question mark“, stressed Dobromir Zhivkov.
