Viktor Papazov is the nominee of “Revival” for European Commissioner. This became clear at a party briefing.
„We are raising a person who will protect only and only the national interests if he is elected. We have no illusions that this will happen, but in any case, Viktor Papazov's figure is that of a proven professional. He is a person with economic experience, creator of the Stock Exchange, initially graduated in Bulgaria, then at “Harvard”, in Georgetown, his last specialization and master's degree is from Tokyo”, Tsoncho Ganev presented his biography.
The party criticized the European Commission and its president, Ursula von der Leyen. “What we have as a committee, we from “Revival” not only do we disapprove, but our group in the European Parliament voted against von der Leyen. We don't approve of her priorities. They are clearly and precisely stated by her - that under the threat of dragging us into war, she says that the EU must give absolutely everything possible to Ukraine,” commented Ganev.
In his words, it is not clear why the government refuses to take responsibility and appoint the Bulgarian European Commissioner.
