The safety and health of people is a top priority, so I expect you to propose concrete measures and actions to ensure the safety of employees and passengers by tomorrow. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova during a meeting today with the management of BDZ.
She requested to be presented with short-term measures related to the control and implementation of technical inspections of the trains, a report on the availability of spare parts for the rolling stock to ensure its safe operation and an analysis of the possibilities for securing the traffic schedule.
„The problems in the Bulgarian railway must be discussed openly and honestly in front of the whole society,” said Minister Stoyanova.
She added that during the discussion of possible solutions as early as tomorrow, she will invite representatives of trade union organizations and independent railway experts to a meeting. The meeting will also be attended by the management of “BDZ Holding“ EAD, “BDZ-Passenger Transport“ EOOD and NK "Railway Infrastructure", reports the press center of the Ministry of Transport.
