A resignation has been submitted, there is a temporary representative and acting head appointed by the National Council until the direct election for the chairman is held. The only action required by the Party's Charter and reflecting the will of the governing body, the National Council, is for the resigned chairman, Kornelia Ninova, to issue a power of attorney to the interim leader, Atanas Zafirov.
