„We see two things regarding the two DPSs. First - on the part of the “Movement for Rights and Freedoms - A New Beginning”, the party headed by Delyan Peevski, relies heavily on mayors. For example, in Kardzhali, the first three places in the lists are occupied by mayors. That is, these are people who in one way or another have some kind of public recognition, they are not new faces, they have their own network of people. We can summarize that what we see in the lists of the “Movement for Rights and Freedoms - A New Beginning” is experience and a strong organizational moment”

This is what the sociologist from the "Trend" agency commented to NOVA. Evelina Slavkova.

Regarding the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms” she emphasized that “the most important thing they did was for their leader Ahmed Dogan to appear in the elections, that is, to participate actively”. “By having him present in two lists, they manage to achieve an important result. Namely - to mobilize the people who would vote for the party, precisely because of Ahmed Dogan. The person with whom voters associate DPS is Ahmed Dogan. The goal is for him, actively participating in these elections as a candidate for deputy, to be recognized as the face of this “authentic DPS”, the sociologist explained.

In her words, “it will be difficult for both political parties in the upcoming elections".

Regarding the sheets of “Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” Slavkova was categorical that “what we have observed so far is a strong majoritarian battle”. “What struck me, observing the list, is that key persons from the DB are not in leading positions, they are not leaders. That will be interesting. Some of the persons on the lists are unknown to me. I don't recognize them. I do not associate them with any political party. So - for them, too, the situation regarding the elections will be complicated, because internally they clearly have disagreements,”, the sociologist emphasized.

Slavkova also explained that there are parties that “have more or less preserved their profile”. “There is such a people” there are no particular changes regarding its deputies. This also applies to “Revival”. After all, there is no way to show new faces and new candidates for deputies in three months. But at the BSP, after the change of leadership, we see a change in the lists, to some extent refreshment, she said. And he added that for the “United Left” anything above 7% would be a success.

Regarding the GERB-SDS coalition, she emphasized that they are also “betting on mayors” in the leaves. “They will try to translate their messages into an easier language, precisely through their successful mayors. That is, if our party wins and becomes the first political force for our city, we will have more opportunities, she added.
