The control for transporting animals across the Bulgarian borders with Romania and Greece has been strengthened, FOCUS reported.
This was said by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Georgi Tahov, in connection with the established cases of small ruminant smallpox in certain regions of the country.
So far, there are two outbreaks in Bulgaria and they are local, but the epizootic situation in the neighboring countries is greatly aggravated, they write on the page of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Minister Takhov called on farmers to show discipline and responsibility so that the infection does not spread in our country.
The control is permanent and we will not tolerate vicious practices, the minister is categorical.
