In 2,230 offices of "Bulgarian Posts" levs will be exchanged for euros, informs the press service of the postal operator.
The lists of these offices are already available on the company's website, BTA reports.
In the post offices, banknotes and coins of levs for euros will be exchanged in the amount of up to 1,000 levs per day for one person. For amounts ranging from 1,000 BGN to 10,000 BGN per day, a preliminary application must be submitted within 3 to 5 working days, only at certain post offices in the country, which are 954, further indicated by "Bulgarian Posts".
According to the National Plan and the Law on the Introduction of the Euro, from the date of our country's membership in the eurozone, "Bulgarian Posts" will exchange banknotes and coins from levs into euros in settlements where there are no offices or branches of credit institutions.
During the first six months, this will be free of charge for citizens.
During the first 6 months from the date of the introduction of the euro, credit institutions exchange free of charge, in an unlimited amount, banknotes and coins from levs into euros at the official exchange rate. It is important to know that "Bulgarian Posts” does not exchange banknotes and coins from levs to euros in the amount of more than 10,000 levs per day per person.
