Low-altitude flights over Sofia

Helicopters from the Air Force will perform low-altitude flights over the city of Sofia, "Knyaz Alexander I" Square from today until May 6 in connection with the preparation of the military parade to celebrate the Day of Bravery and the holiday of the Bulgarian Army. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.

Today the flights will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., tomorrow - from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with reserve hours from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on May 6 - from 10:20 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

For security reasons, it is not advisable for citizens to use unmanned aerial vehicles during these time windows on the specified dates, the Ministry of Defense added.

The Day of Bravery and the holiday of the Bulgarian Army will be marked with the blessing of the battle flags and flags-sanctions and with a military parade. The Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, and senior officers of the Bulgarian Army will participate in the rituals on the occasion of May 6. The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, representatives of the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers, the Diplomatic Corps, and military-patriotic unions have been invited to attend.
