At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers will approve additional expenditures under the budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for 2025, related to the transport crisis in Sofia, dariknews.bg reported.
The government announced a few days ago that it will allocate 15 million leva for salaries in the capital's public transport, after Sofia residents were left without public transport for an unprecedented 6 days.
The ministers are about to dismiss the regional governor of Dobrich district and appoint an acting regional governor of Dobrich district.
The cabinet is expected to adopt a Report on information on the cash execution of the state budget and the main indicators of the consolidated fiscal program for the first quarter of 2025.
The ministers will also dismiss Elka Ruskova - a citizen of the Republic of Bulgaria and the United States of America, from her functions as an honorary (non-staff) consular official of the Republic of Bulgaria based in the city of Seattle and with a consular district covering the territory of the state of Washington, United States of America, and will close the consulate it manages.
The government is yet to approve additional expenditures/transfers to the budgets of the Ministry of Education and Science and municipalities for 2025.
