From June 2, repair work will be carried out on sections of Struma Highway in the Sofia and Kyustendil districts, the Road Infrastructure Agency reports.

From 08:00 on June 2 (Monday) to 08:00 on June 4 (Wednesday), traffic will move to the overtaking lane in a 400-meter section at the 2nd km, in the direction of Blagoevgrad. The emergency and active lanes in the area of the OMV Suhodol and Kristal gas stations will be closed to traffic, where the pavement will be patched, it specifies dariknews.bg

From 08:00 on June 2 to 08:00 on June 4, traffic in the section from the 4th to the 5th km, in the direction of Blagoevgrad, will pass through the connections Sofia - Malo Buchino and Malo Buchino - Kulata at the road junction “Malo Buchino“. Traffic in the active, overtaking and emergency lanes will be limited for road surface repairs.

From June 2, a temporary traffic organization will be introduced at the 78th km of the “Struma“ motorway in the Kyustendil region for joint repairs.

On June 2, from 09:00 to 20:00, traffic at the 78th km of the motorway in the direction of Sofia will be carried out only in the overtaking lane, due to repair work in the active and the emergency lane.

On June 3, from 09:00 to 20:00, traffic at the 78th km in the direction of Blagoevgrad will be carried out only in the overtaking lane, as work will be carried out in the active and emergency lanes.

On June 4, from 09:00 to 20:00, traffic at the 78th km in the direction of Blagoevgrad will be only in the emergency lane. The active and overtaking lanes will be restricted for passage.

"The agency apologizes for the inconvenience caused, but the repair work is necessary to ensure traffic safety and increase travel comfort. Drivers are required to comply with traffic rules and speed limits, and not to undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of all other travelers. Do not use emergency lanes on highways for faster movement in heavy traffic. In this way, the passage of vehicles with a special traffic regime is prevented in the event of an accident," the RIA indicates.
