The fire around Atanasovsko Lake, which was contained on Saturday, has flared up again, the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation reports. The fire is now raging within the reserve, threatening the invaluable biodiversity in the area. Part of the nature conservation and tourism infrastructure has been destroyed.
The fire is burning intensely, also thanks to the winds along the coast. Firefighters are working on the ground.
