Following the interview of the chairman of the Public Prosecutor's Office Asen Vassilev on “This Morning“ on bTV on July 3, the independent municipal councilor Dimitar Shalafov requested the right to reply:
“I have never been deprived of legal capacity as a trustee – Asen Vassilev's claims are false and misleading. I practice the profession of trustee and at the moment, a fact easily verifiable from the public register of the Ministry of Justice and the Commercial Register.
Yes, there is an administrative case from 2022, which has not yet been concluded, and which I have spoken openly about to people in the Public Prosecutor's Office.
My main income comes from my law practice – everything is officially declared. These personal attacks are made to throw mud and divert attention from the real issues of corruption pressure, which we decided to speak about openly."
