We are not afraid, there are not enough handcuffs for the people who are free in Sofia. We will not let this country turn into a pigsty, Nikolay Denkov also emphasized

As we found out yesterday, there is no evidence that Blagomir Kotsev participated in the crime for which he has been charged. It was only said that he knew that there was such a crime. This was stated to the media on the sidelines of the parliament by Nikolay Denkov, quoted by novini.bg.
He added that the entire prosecution against the mayor of Varna is based on two main witnesses, one of whom - Dian Ivanov, withdrew his testimony, admitting that he was forced to testify against Kotsev under pressure.

Regarding the second witness - Plamenka Dimitrova, she has won over 50 million leva from public procurements in recent years during the GERB government, but lost one contract during Kotsev's time. Three instances say that she rightly lost it because she gave a higher price in a competition that had a lower price, explained Denkov.

„This shows very clearly that justice is not being sought in this case, but repression is being carried out. Yesterday, the appellate judge himself said that the case is being heard in the wrong court by the wrong prosecutor's office, because the Plamenka in question testified that she had heard something about a member of parliament. There is neither evidence for this, nor are there any records of the case - there is nothing that can be used by the court, and all this was said by the appellate judge. For these eight months, the prosecution, instead of doing its job, has been putting this case on hold so that it can use it when it is profitable“, the PP-DB MP also commented.
When asked by a journalist whether he was in contact with Dian Ivanov and whether he had put indirect pressure on him to withdraw his testimony, the former prime minister of the country categorically denied having been in any contact with Ivanov.

Denkov sounded the alarm that because of this case with Blagomir Kotsev and the arbitrariness of the prosecution, Bulgaria is in a state of dictatorship.

We are not afraid, there are not enough handcuffs for the people who are free in Sofia. We will not let this country turn into a pigsty, Nikolay Denkov also emphasized.
