Washington approved the sale of missiles to Bulgaria for $620 million

The main contractor is the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace AS, the Pentagon says.

The United States State Department has approved a potential sale to Bulgaria of naval cruise missiles and related equipment, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The value of the deal is about $620 million. The main contractor is the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace AS, the Pentagon says.

The naval missile system comes in two versions - for strikes against ships and for hitting targets on land. Firing is possible from various platforms. The missiles are in service in Norway, Poland, Malaysia, Germany, the United States, Japan, Romania, Canada, Australia and Spain.
