"Some people will mock me again for throwing money out of the jeep. With all my heart, I tell them to come and see what has been done here". This was said by GERB leader Boyko Borisov from Magerovo, Velingrad region, after the residents thanked him for doing so much for the settlements, reports "Focus".
According to the people of the village, there is no settlement in which Borisov has not done something. "Not only is nature beautiful, but we are also nice people. You have revived us! The region is living a new life", the residents added.
"We will look around with Nankov. The regional minister is from another party, but he is good and I think he will say yes", Borisov pointed out regarding the locals' request to asphalt a section of 3-4 kilometers.
The people in the Rhodope Mountains were lied to and forgotten for years. They had no roads, they were cut off for kilometers from schools and kindergartens, which were also in a deplorable condition, Borisov also said, quoted by BTA.
He assured that for GERB, all Bulgarian citizens in all regions of the country have the right to a normal life. That is why we allocated funds and fulfilled our commitments to them, he emphasized. I have no unfulfilled promise, the former prime minister added. The road to the village of Magerovo is ready. Despite the four-year hiatus during the political deadlock in the country, local people can now move on a path they never had before, the GERB leader also said.
According to him, investments in the Rhodope Mountains will continue. The government with the GERB mandate is a guarantee of the attention that local people will continue to receive, he promised.
