Doctors continue to fight for the life of the child run over by an ATV. Yesterday, Marty was transported by air ambulance from the University Hospital in Burgas to the children's intensive care unit of “Pirogov“.

The child's relatives and his mother, who is still brain dead, spoke to bTV. With a heavy heart, they sent the medical helicopter with Marty to Sofia.

“There are other injuries besides the head injury, there are broken ribs and the treatment will be long. A person called and said that the trip went well and the child is in good condition after the trip“, said Zlatka Sokolova, Marty's grandmother.

In “Pirogov“ The 4-year-old boy underwent a CT scan, which confirmed severe head trauma. Marty remains in a coma. More tests are pending.

“He is not in contact, he is not making sounds. He is still breathing spontaneously and we are following a conservative treatment plan. We are doing everything we can, we have had many such children, no one can make any predictions“, said Dr. Hristo Psederski, a pediatric resuscitator at the Pirogov University Hospital.

His 35-year-old mother Hristina remains brain dead, which according to doctors is an irreversible condition.

“I have the feeling that at any moment Tineto will open his eyes and say: “Mom, are you crying again“, but he won't…“, said Zlatka Sokolova, Hristina's mother and Marty's grandmother.

“Yesterday we were with her, the situation is the same. We are in God's hands“, added Yordan Sokolov, Hrisi's father.

A psychologist is already working with the older child of the family. The boy keeps asking about his mother and brother, relatives say.

“Last night when we returned from the hospital, he asked us “Did you see mom, what did the doctor say“, said Zlatka Sokolova.

At the request of relatives and after an order from the Minister of the Interior, the Ministry of Internal Affairs began a second investigation into the actions of the police officers in the fatal incident.
