Two people in Montana have been detained in a police operation to prevent crimes against the political rights of citizens, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana announced.

During a search of the home of a 63-year-old man in the regional town, a notebook with names, numbers and dates, some of which were crossed out, was found. The man was detained for 24 hours.

Another 44-year-old man from Montana was also detained on suspicion of vote buying and violations of election legislation. A search was conducted in his home on a tip-off, and no items of interest were found for the inspection, but he was nevertheless detained for 24 hours. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in both cases.

During other actions this week, notebooks with names and amounts of money written against them were found in various homes and commercial establishments in Montana, Lom and Vulchedrum, debit cards of various people from these neighborhoods were found, as well as cash - a total of about 40,000 euros. Six people were detained for 24 hours, and six pre-trial proceedings were initiated for crimes against the political rights of citizens.
