One of the people arrested for smuggling in the investigation at customs wants to go free, Nova TV reported.
Marin Dimitrov from Haskovo is appealing against his permanent arrest before the Sofia Court of Appeal. He was arrested during the action of DANS and the Anti-Corruption Commission at the beginning of April, but immediately after that he entered “Pirogov”.
Later, the court of first instance detained him, and today his remand will be decided at the second instance. Marin Dimitrov is accused together with his son Stefan, the former head of the “Mitnitsi” Petya Bankova, Nikola Nikolov-Paskal and the former Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Zhivko Kotsev for participation in a criminal group for smuggling, money laundering and bribery.
