Police in the UK have detained a man in connection with a cyberattack that blocked the operation of several major airports in Europe, including London's “Heathrow“, the BBC reported, reports News.bg.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) said that a 40-year-old man had been arrested in West Sussex as part of an investigation into a cyber incident that affected Collins Aerospace's baggage check-in and processing software, used by a number of airlines.
Paul Foster, head of the NCA's national cybercrime unit, said that the investigation into the case was still in its early stages.
The man was arrested on the evening of September 23 on suspicion of violations of the Computer Misuse Act, but was subsequently released on bail.
