They've reached an agreement! There is an agreement between Republicans and Democrats to end the budget paralysis

This will allow the federal government to be funded until January

Several American media outlets reported on an agreement reached between President Donald Trump's Republicans and the Democratic opposition to end the budget paralysis, Reuters and Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.

The temporary agreement will allow the federal government to be funded until January, CNN and "Fox News" announced, according to which the Senate will vote on it tonight.

The budget paralysis, as a result of which government services in the US have partially stopped working, has continued for a record 40 days, AFP notes.

Reuters indicates that senators will probably support the bill already approved by the House of Representatives, which will introduce changes that will allow for short-term funding of the federal government. At least eight Democrats — enough to push the measure through the Republican-controlled Senate — are expected to vote in its favor, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.

The amended bill would then have to be re-approved by the lower house of Congress before being sent to President Donald Trump for his signature, a process that could take several days.

Stock markets reacted positively to the news, with Asian shares starting the week higher and the dollar recovering Friday's losses.
