Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated on the X platform that despite the progress in the negotiations between the US and Ukraine in Geneva, some important issues have not yet been resolved, Focus reports.
Stub pointed out that on Monday morning he had a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
„I welcome the progress achieved during yesterday's meetings between us and Ukraine in Geneva. The talks were a step forward, but there are still key issues that need to be resolved,“ the Finnish head of state wrote.
He stressed that all decisions falling within the scope of the European Union or NATO will be discussed and adopted individually by the member states.
The talks in Geneva took place on November 23 with the participation of representatives of the United States, Ukraine and Europe. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the meeting as the “most productive and significant” within the framework of the ongoing process. According to him, the 28-point peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump continues to develop, with the parties working on terms acceptable to both Ukraine and Russia.
