Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said today that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was unfair to Europe after he criticized the European Union during a speech at the World Economic Forum, saying the EU lacks "political will" to confront Russia, ANSA reported, BTA reported.

"It seems to me that Europe guaranteed Ukraine's independence and did everything to support it politically, financially and militarily", Tajani told journalists in Rome.

"It seems to me that this is not fair to Europe", he added, referring to Zelensky's criticism.

Zelensky criticized Europe for being a "fragmented kaleidoscope of small and medium powers" that lack the courage to act decisively and that face a bleak future unless they stand up to the United States and Russia.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, describing him as "a man in a desperate situation whose military efforts" would not support, Reuters reported.

The agency notes that in this way Orban has intensified his anti-Ukrainian rhetoric before the key elections in Hungary in April this year.

Against the backdrop of the stagnation of the Hungarian economy and the lag of the Hungarian Prime Minister's Fidesz party from the main opposition force - TISA, in most sociological surveys, the Hungarian Prime Minister has defined the upcoming parliamentary elections on April 12 as a choice between war and peace, while stating at the same time that Ukraine does not deserve financial assistance.

"You are a person in a desperate situation and for the fourth year in a row you are unable or unwilling to end this war, even though the President of the United States helped you in every way to do so," Orban wrote on "Facebook", where he directly addressed the Ukrainian president. "Therefore, no matter how much you flatter me, we will not be able to support your military efforts," the Hungarian prime minister added.
