President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held important meetings today, at which the situation on the front line and the development of Ukrainian long-range weapons were discussed, Ukrinform reported, referring to his post on "Telegram", BTA reported.
"I held two important meetings. The first was with the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army Syrsky and the Chief of the General Staff Barkhylevich to discuss the situation on the front line. Each direction was discussed in detail, with the greatest attention paid to Pokrovsk and Toretsk. We focused on the supply of our brigades and specific defensive actions. We also discussed the operation in the Kursk region separately. The objectives of the operation are being met," the Ukrainian president wrote.
"All the details of this meeting are classified. The only thing I can mention is our great gratitude to all our developers and manufacturers of long-range weapons. We are strengthening Ukraine's capabilities in long-range weapons," Zelensky said.
Ukrainian Army Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrsky said today that he had spent several days on the eastern front near Pokrovsk, where increased Russian pressure has been observed recently, Reuters reported, citing his post on "Facebook".
"The fighting in the Pokrovsk area is extremely heavy. The Russian occupiers are throwing everything that can move and advance into battle, trying to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops," he wrote on "Telegram" Sirsky, quoted by UNIAN. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army added that Ukraine must constantly use non-standard tactics to strengthen its positions.
