US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to a record low during the last 100 days of his administration compared to all his predecessors over the past 70 years, CNN reports.

The American media outlet cites data from a survey conducted by SSRS at the request of the television channel.

According to the survey, Trump's policies are currently approved by 41% of Americans - the lowest level for any newly elected president at the end of his 100 days in office at least since the time of Eisenhower. Trump's performance now compares poorly with his 100-day record.

Support for Trump's policies has fallen 4 percentage points since March and 7 percentage points since February.

Only 22% of respondents said they strongly approved of Trump's performance as president. And 45% said they strongly disapproved.

Taking into account the party affiliation of respondents, Trump's support remains polarized - 86% of Republicans approve of his actions, while 93% of Democrats disapprove. Among "independents", Trump's support has fallen to 31%.

The poll also showed that support for Trump's job performance is declining across all policy areas. Inflation has fallen 9 points since March to 35%, tariffs have fallen 4 points to 35%, and 39% approve of his handling of the economy, down 5 points from March.

Support for his handling of the federal government has fallen 6 points to 42%. Only 46% believe Trump will appoint the best professionals to the positions, down 8 points from December.

Less than 43% believe the "turbo changes" in government agencies initiated by Trump and his team as a necessary step, while 57% say they see this approach as unnecessary risks for the country.

39% said they support Trump's foreign policy, while 60% disapprove.

50% of respondents expressed some degree of confidence that Trump is capable of adequately handling foreign policy tasks. At the start of his second term, it was 55%.

On the issue of immigration policy, 45% said they supported Trump, which is six points less than in March.

41% said they supported Vice President J.D. Vance, while 58% disapproved of his job performance.

According to Reuters, Trump is already preparing a plan for the next 100 days of his presidency.

It is also unofficially reported that the head of the Pentagon feels insecure about his position after a series of scandals.
