Three Iranian nuclear physicists killed

Israeli army says it has eliminated nine nuclear physicists

Iranian nuclear physicists Ali Baqaie Karimi, Mansur Asgari and Saeed Borji were killed in Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic, Iranian state television reported.

Earlier, Shahid Beheshti University, which specializes in nuclear physics research, reported the deaths of five of its professors during Israeli military operations. They are Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari, Abdolhamid Minouchehr, Amir Hossein Fekhi and Fereydoun Abbasi.

For its part, the Israeli army announced that it had eliminated nine nuclear physicists working on Tehran's nuclear project during strikes against Iran.

According to the army's press service, this happened on June 13 during the first wave of Israeli air strikes against the Islamic Republic. The statement noted that all of the eliminated scientists and experts held important positions in their fields, had extensive knowledge of the Iranian nuclear program and had accumulated decades of experience in the field of nuclear weapons development.
