Russia's air defenses shot down 86 Ukrainian drones overnight, Reuters reports, citing a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, BTA reports.
“Overnight, air defense assets intercepted and destroyed 86 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles“, the ministry's official position, quoted by TASS, says.
According to the information, 23 of the drones were shot down over the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine. Another 16 were intercepted over the Bryansk region and 15 over the Tula region.
Two of the drones were aimed at the Russian capital Moscow, the ministry added, without providing details on damage or casualties.
