The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported two deaths in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon despite a truce with the Iranian-backed Lebanese movement "Hezbollah", reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.

According to the ministry, a drone strike killed one person in the town of Hiam, and another strike - on a motorcycle in Yokhmor ash-Shaqif - killed another. The Lebanese news agency NNA reported that the man killed in Hiam was working on the roof of a house.

The Israeli army said it had killed a member of Hezbollah's elite "Radwan" Force, who was involved in attempts to restore sites from Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in the Hiam area, as well as another person who was involved in similar activities in Yokhmor.

Despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect after more than a year of hostilities, including two months of open warfare that significantly weakened "Hezbollah", Israel has been regularly bombing Lebanon, mainly its southern parts. The Israeli military says it is targeting "Hezbollah" and accuses the Lebanese authorities of not doing enough to disarm the pro-Iranian group.

According to the ceasefire agreement, "Hezbollah" was to withdraw its fighters north of the Litani River, about 30 km from the Israeli border, and only the Lebanese army and UN peacekeepers were to be stationed in the area. Israel, in turn, had to withdraw its troops from Lebanon entirely, but maintained its presence at five positions in the southern part of the country.
