The father of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, General Alexander Sirsky, is being treated in a Moscow clinic, Russian media reported, BTA reports.

Stanislav Sirsky, 86, is battling a neurological disease that worsened after contracting COVID-19, Gazeta.ru reports, citing the Telegram channel Shot.

He was initially admitted for treatment to a hospital in Vladimir, where the family lives. Since local doctors were unable to provide the necessary assistance, the family moved to Moscow. There, Sirsky Sr. was provided with a private room, and his wife is constantly with him. According to the information, a month-long stay at the clinic costs about 1 million rubles.

Sources quoted by the Russian media claim that relations between General Sirsky and his parents have deteriorated due to disagreements over the war in Ukraine. His family is believed to hold a pro-Russian position and participated in the traditional “Immortal Regiment” procession.

In 2024, the adopted son of the Ukrainian commander-in-chief, Ivan, even congratulated the Russians on the capture of Avdiivka by Russian forces.
