One of the advantages of Kilesk is the lack of imported spare parts, which will not create a problem with the repair of cars in combat conditions. For example, the bridges are from UAZ. The light and fast, according to the Russians, combat vehicle is intended for the transport of troops and for the evacuation of the wounded, as well as for the transportation of cargo.
That is, the rear part of the car is interchangeable and one and the same SUV can serve different purposes. It may even be equipped with a mortar. The Kilesk military vehicle takes its name from the carnivorous theropod dinosaurs.
„To collect all this in one car, a reinforced frame was made. After that, a body was created on a tubular chassis covered with armored plates”, says Alexander Bodunov, head of the workshop at the Lipetsk Utility Vehicle Plant.
Development of the prototype takes only two months, from drawings to prototype for real trials. However, it is not specified what engine the new Russian infantry fighting vehicle is equipped with.
„If an anti-personnel mine is detonated near a vehicle, the soldiers can quickly leave the vehicle”, says Alexander Hrapov, commercial director of the Lipetsk plant for municipal vehicles and author of the project, about one of the advantages of Kilesk.< /p>
Experts and the management of the plant are of the opinion that they can start the production of their military vehicle immediately and send it to the front of Russia's military actions against Ukraine.
Also with the completion of the development, the authors of the project also begin the creation of a new, longer version. In the coming months, a new version of Kilesk will appear - a three-axle, which is designed for 14 people, capable of transporting serious weapons.
