The Tank 400 SUV will have a diesel version. The portal Chinese Cars released a video on Chinese social networks of tests of a prototype of the new SUV equipped with a diesel engine.
This Tank 400 is covered in camouflage, but it seems that there will be no radical changes in appearance: only the “extra“ hatch for recharging the battery from the socket.
Chinese journalists have no doubt that the Tank 400 will get a new 2.4-liter turbodiesel that debuted in April on the Poer pickup truck. It is about the GW4D24 engine. In the pickup, the power unit develops 186 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque.
The unit is combined with a nine-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. However, in an SUV, these figures may be different. The exact parameters are not known because no diesel Tank has been certified in China yet.
