Container traffic from China to Europe has increased by 40% in the last few weeks.
„A greater number of containers have passed from China to Europe and from other countries. We are observing an increase – and this has happened literally in the last few weeks – almost a 40% increase in March. These are significant increases“, said the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov.
The flow was lower in 2021-2022. „But even then, shippers understood that our East-West railway corridor is reliable and good. "Now things are improving and they appreciate the work of railway transport and the reliability of the corridors that pass through Russia," he said at the International Transport and Lending Forum.
