Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov convenes the first meeting of the National Water Board in implementation of the decision of the National Assembly of September 3, 2025 on taking urgent measures to overcome the water crisis in the Republic of Bulgaria. The meeting will identify the most urgent measures in the shortest possible time that the board will take.
The goal of the National Water Board is to coordinate actions to overcome the water crisis in 2025, as well as the efforts of all interested institutions to prevent possible future crises. The board includes representatives of: the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Development Bank.
