The co-chair of the PP-DB PG and former Minister of Justice Nadezhda Yordanova commented in the studio of "Osche ot dne" on BNT on the motives for the fifth vote of no confidence.
"Unfortunately, in every single day of the lives of Bulgarian citizens, the consequences, the evidence of the conquered state are visible. For example, the breaking asphalt on a road in Northwestern Bulgaria. It cannot happen by itself. This means that the institutions are absent and do not react. The case in Ruse. At that time, when it was claimed that there was a beating against the head of the regional police, a directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this was almost an attack on the statehood and a midnight brawl was politicized. What is more cruel and more worrying in this case is that the official thesis of the Ministry of Internal Affairs collapsed. The state institutions lied, they are trying to cover up obvious problems. What we heard, for example, that there were no canceled public procurements in Varna. One of the public procurements, which was confirmed by the CPC, was then confirmed by the Supreme Administrative Court, is one of the reasons for the delay. Blagomir Kotsev in prison as a measure of restraint, detention in custody."
Yordanova emphasized that the PP-DB relies on the support of every political party in the parliamentary hall when voting on the vote of no confidence.
"We rely on the support of every political party in the plenary hall. Just to explain - including from the ruling party. Let us recall the formation of this ruling majority. The BSP and the ITN entered this ruling majority with loud statements that they would not allow Peevski's influence and that the moment they felt his influence - they would leave. The APS was part of the ruling majority for this reason. So we are giving them the opportunity to rethink their position. The even greater task of the vote is, in addition to illuminating the mechanisms for action of the conquered state, to show Bulgarian society that there is an alternative. That the Bulgarian people can live in a free and orderly country."
