The Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova said in Balchik that the main issue of this session of the National Assembly is the adoption of the budget, BNT reported.
According to her, the stability of the cabinet depends on all parliamentary groups, but it is logical for the opposition to demand early elections.
In Balchik, she participated in the celebrations marking the 85th anniversary of the liberation of the city from Romanian occupation and its return to Bulgaria in 1940.
According to Kiselova, the result of the vote of no confidence is expected, and within a week or two, a proposal for a new one will probably begin to be discussed.
"The submitters themselves said all along that they did not expect it to be successful. They expected to hear those problems that, according to the voters, are important to them the most. They are actually those issues that the second largest parliamentary group has been raising in the public space for years. If we talk about stability, this is a matter of effort that must be asked of all parliamentary groups. When you have 9 different points of view, it is normal for some of the groups not to want stability in order to be able to go to elections, because they expect better performance," she commented.
She defined the ruling coalition as stable.
"I think we are like reeds. It bends at any moment, but it is more resilient and durable than it seems".
Regarding the election of the heads of services, the Speaker of Parliament stated that there are bills submitted and the debate on them is forthcoming.
"The Constitution lists those powers that are explicitly within the competence of the president, who exercises them jointly or independently with other bodies. With regard to the heads of services, the National Assembly has the opportunity to decide. There are bills submitted. The debate is forthcoming, but such a debate was held more than ten years ago, and two years ago, so it is part of the political debate".
Kiselova stated that she is optimistic about the adoption of the budget and defined it as the most important task of the parliament.
