The priority during the renovation of the heat transfer network in the capital's "Druzhba-2" district will be kindergartens and schools. This was agreed at a meeting between Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov and the executive director of "Toplofikatsiya"-Sofia, Petar Petrov," reports BNR.
The Ministry of Energy and the KEWR are carrying out ongoing daily control over each repair action, Minister Stankov announced and assured that each building will remain without heating for no more than 10 days.
"The initially disturbing news that one of the large districts of Sofia will remain without heating for 90 days will not be the case. I have requested that this not occur for more than a range of 3, 7, maximum up to 10 days, and that shut-off valves be installed on the individual branches in order to guarantee that when the heat supply to one unit is stopped for the replacement of the installation, this will not affect the remaining 119 units, which are also directly connected to the network", he explained.
"Toplofikatsiya"- Sofia does not carry out its repairs on time and does not pay "Bulgargaz" on time, which affects the financial condition of the national supplier, the Minister of Energy also pointed out and called for joining efforts to renegotiate the contract with the Turkish "Botaş" at the corporate and political level.
