The first truck with drinking water from the State Reserve has arrived in Sveti Vlas, informs BTA. A second truck is expected to arrive, which will complete the delivery. A total of 38,340 liters will be provided for the residents of Sveti Vlas and the Elenite holiday village.
The water is intended for the population in the area, where there are still difficulties with access to safe drinking water due to the floods.
15 pallets with 10-liter cans and 15 pallets with 1.5-liter bottles have been distributed from the first truck. The second truck delivers an additional six pallets of 10-liter cans and five pallets of 1.5-liter bottles.
The city hall specified that additional information will be announced about the exact locations where the water will be distributed.
The assistance was provided by decision of the Council of Ministers and at the request of the Burgas Regional Governor, in order to overcome the consequences of the crisis situation.
According to data from the Burgas Regional Administration, repeated control samples of drinking water after the floods show deviations from the norms in "Sveti Vlas", "Elenite" and Kiten.
