"Despite all the evidence and the many previous convictions of the driver Georgi Alexandrov, there is a real danger that he will again escape without a sentence. The two latest decisions of the Supreme Court of Cassation, which cast doubt on the acts of the prosecutor's office in the person of I.F. the chief prosecutor, opened the murderer's door to freedom wide open," wrote the child's father Nikolay Popov on social media.
He specified that Siyana's case was transferred to the National Investigation Service with such a decree.
"Then the prosecutors were seconded to Pleven even after July 21, 2025, when according to the Supreme Court of Cassation, the mandate of prosecutor No. 1 had already expired. Today, the legitimacy of the entire Supreme Judicial Council, whose mandate has also expired, is even being questioned," Siyana's father also pointed out.
He calls on people to attend the protest in front of the Courthouse in Pleven today, at 9:00 a.m. "Let's not allow another murderer to go home undisturbed. Let's show that Siyana is not forgotten. That we will not remain silent," Popov wrote.
