A pedestrian died after being hit by an ambulance in Simeonovgrad. The incident occurred in the morning hours of the day, around 10:00 a.m.
A 64-year-old driver of a specialized vehicle was reversing in the square in front of the emergency department when he hit the 66-year-old pedestrian.
He fell and hit his head. On the way to the Haskovo hospital, the victim died.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. The driver was detained for 24 hours and gave a blood sample for testing.
