A special manager can be appointed now, without stealing the refinery from Peevski.
That is exactly why we would support a manager with international experience – a person from a large international company, with transparent standards and without political dependencies.
But the law written by Peevski does otherwise:
The special manager receives full control over the capital, including the right to sell the refinery, and the owners have no right to appeal. The decisions are beyond judicial control, and the money goes to the BDB under the order of the Council of Ministers.
This does not stop Russia. This allows mafia control over this strategic asset, without a court and without control.
The result?
• Arbitration cases for billions
• A normal Western buyer will not step
• Dependence on the Kremlin is prolonged, not interrupted
Peevski does not interrupt Russian influence. Peevski is concretizing it.
