Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev was released a few minutes after 12 o'clock.
"Thank you for everything, for all the support", were Kotsev's first words after hugging his wife Kamelia.
"The first thing I will do is kiss my children. On Monday we will see - what the family says", said Kotsev.
"I have a responsibility to the people of Varna that I must fulfill. The city needs us to return to a normal rhythm", he added.
"First, I will pay attention to my family. Many lessons can be learned, but let's not do them hastily now. Ultimately, this is a lesson that everyone should learn and people should see what can happen to anyone. We are still learning a lot - what happened, how, there is still a trial and I hope the whole truth comes out," Kotsev was categorical.
