Capital Transport Municipal Councilor from PP-DB Simeon Stavrev commented in the FACTI studio to Lili Marinkova on a topic that has somewhat gone unnoticed due to the excessive attention paid to other political events. We are talking about a corruption deal prepared by "Capital Transport".
Here is what Stavrev says about the case:
In reality, what the transport sector wants to do is buy 25 of the long buses. These are 18-meter articulated buses that will run in Sofia, for a total of 8 times more money. Yesterday, the executive director of the company came out and said that these buses will not be purchased. The most absurd thing in the whole story is that on December 23, I checked it again today, he came out with a document and published it on the website of the Public Procurement Agency, which says that he has chosen the contractor - the company that offers the 8 times higher price. But what the director says: "We are not sure that it will happen". This does not mean that they will not sign today or tomorrow, because he is within his rights.
I follow all public procurements in the motor transport sector. Because I have deep suspicions about how they are organized and who participates in them. I have caught more than one strange, not to say, abuse for me. As a company with two employees, it won a public procurement for the supply of auto parts for millions of leva. Public procurements were made twice for gas supply. The last public procurement, again for "Stolichne Autotrans", is for gas supply for 40 million euros, for three years to come. Which will transfer the end of our mandate to the Municipal Council and the mayor. And this director is even temporarily appointed. A significant amount will be paid to an intermediary considering the fact that they have a license. The question is what kind of public procurements this director makes.
