The torrential rains in our country on Sunday caused damage in several cities. So far, there are reports of flooded houses in Nedelino, Deputy Regional Governor Adrian Petrov told NOVA.

Six villages in the municipality are without electricity due to broken power lines. There are also problems with the power supply in Dospatsko.
The rivers in Smolyan region are at critical levels, but so far there is no direct danger to the population. The Arda River has flooded a bridge near the Madara village of Vehtino. Access to one of the hamlets is interrupted.
A car is trapped by a fallen retaining wall in the village of Startsevo, Zlatograd region. No one was injured.
A landslide has restricted traffic in one lane between Devin and Shiroka Laka. Similar problems are also occurring in the directions Smolyan - Asenovgrad, Devin - Krichim, Smolyan - Banite and Smolyan - Kardzhali.
An old landslide has also been activated in the area of the village of Malka Arda. Traffic is in one lane.
The situation with precipitation in the area of Petrich is also complicated, the municipality reports. In the hours until noon, about 75 liters per square meter of rain fell in the city. The station in the village of Klyuch recorded 40 liters, and at the Belasik hut “Kongur” the amount is 86 liters.
In the lower part of the municipality, the water in the rivers is at high levels. This is visible in photos and videos posted on social networks.
On-duty teams are patrolling critical areas known to be problematic in such situations.
The actions are coordinated with all other institutions that support the work of local authorities in emergencies.
Meanwhile, hailstones fell in Sofia, Kyustendil and Breznik.

Due to the increased level of the river in the village of Barutin, Smolyan region, pipe valves are clogged and have remained open. A huge amount of water is flowing through them and threatening the houses next to the dam. Fire brigade teams are draining the water with pumps. The river level is dropping and the outflow is expected to decrease, Smolyan Deputy Regional Governor Adrian Petrov told NOVA.
Due to heavy rainfall in recent hours, the tunnel that carries the waters of the Chepinska River to the Batak gorge has been blocked. The water flows are spilling onto the roadway of the republican road, with the condition in the section of fallen rocks being the worst - the road is impassable.
The Velingrad-Sarnitsa road is completely closed, with police teams on the ground stopping traffic to ensure safety.
The Dospatska River has also overflowed its bed, with several houses in the village flooded.
