Tsvetlin Yovchev: Doubts remain that the "Gyurov" cabinet recreates the possibilities for a coalition between PP-DB and Rumen Radev - 1

“I don't know most of the people and I have no impression of them. I don't know what their abilities are, their integrity. Here you also need a lot of resilience, perseverance, to withstand tensions, to withstand attacks. I don't know to what extent they will succeed. The cabinet is constructed in such a way as to clearly show that there is no connection with the previous rulers. However, whether they will succeed - I can't say“.

This is what he commented on in the “Interview of the Day“ on bTV former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Tsvetlin Yovchev.

„There are some doubts about the composition of the cabinet, as if it is recreating the possibilities for a future coalition - between the PP-DB and the political formation of President Radev“, he said.

According to him, it is very important what team the currently appointed acting Minister of Interior Emil Dechev will select.

Yovchev believes that the lack of comment from Daniel Mitov about „Petrohan“ in the last three weeks has been a mistake.

„One of the main communication mistakes that was made is that the information was not released through official channels in sufficient volume and was not presented in a way that was absolutely understandable and sheds light on what was happening and in what direction the investigation was going“, commented Tsvetlin Yovchev.

„The information was released piecemeal through unofficial channels. This information was incomplete, it was often wrong, but it gave the question the opportunity for completely wrong interpretations and the formation of certain ideas in people. Subsequently, if the authorities come out and try to refute these formed ideas, to change them, it becomes very difficult“, he also pointed out.

According to him, there are mistakes in the work that the Ministry of Interior has done over the years towards the group.

“It is not possible with so many signals and so much time that has passed, that there is no result“, Yovchev noted.

He believes that an external investigation into the case is “an exotic idea and nothing requires it“.

“Such experts may be invited when there is factual complexity in the investigation, when we do not have the necessary technologies or the necessary experts to investigate certain processes and be able to extract the necessary information“, commented the former Deputy Prime Minister.

Yovchev expects that in the coming days it will become absolutely clear what happened to “Petrohan“ and Okolchitsa.

“There is no way this thing can be covered up“, he noted.
