The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has issued a directive to all hotels in the emirate: to provide free extension of stay for all tourists and guests stranded here due to canceled flights and closed airspace since February 28.

Mladenov indicated that the costs of these additional nights are borne entirely by DCT – hotels simply send invoices directly to a dedicated business continuity team, without burdening guests or themselves.
"This applies to anyone who has reached their check-out date but is unable to leave due to circumstances beyond their control," he wrote.
