Asen Vassilev: The Supreme Judicial Council, since it is out of mandate and does not comply with the law, should move to minimum wages

The law on extending the budget will be adopted. At least, if anyone has an ounce of sense left in their heads. Asen Vassilev: The Supreme Judicial Council, since it is out of mandate and does not comply with the law, should move to minimum wages - 1

What should start happening in the next parliament is absolute disintegration, but this is a soft word, an explosion of this model. The Supreme Judicial Council, since it is out of mandate and does not comply with the law, should move to minimum wages, said in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio the chairman of "We continue the change" Asen Vassilev.

"The entire system that works in this way should be on a minimum wage. I tried to force every condemnatory decision against Bulgaria to come out of the budget of the judiciary. And the person guilty of this should have a regressive claim against him. I refused to submit a compensation case to the Council of Ministers for a decision if there is no opinion of the Ministry of Justice or that there is a regressive claim. A judge, a prosecutor who caused the damage should pay out of his own pocket or an opinion of the Ministry of Justice that there can be no regressive claim", explained Asen Vassilev in Nedelya 150.

According to him, "these people who think they are unpunished should start paying for the outrages they commit in this system – individually pay":

"Ministry should be reduced from 20 to 12."

Assen Vassilev admitted that the adopted bill on money for a second pension, the so-called multi-funds, is generally good for Bulgarian citizens, because it creates an opportunity for pension funds to manage citizens' money in a different way - 3 types of funds are offered.

"For me personally, there are two worrying things that for riskier investments, the possibility of infrastructure investments is opened. In general, these pension funds exist around the world, but for Bulgaria I think it is too early, since we have not cleaned up our judicial system and supervision – FSC", commented the leader of the PP.

He also explained the risks:

"If you invest in the securities of France and Germany through the stock exchange, the risk of corruption is small. If you invest in the construction of a bridge in the Balkans, the risk is higher than in German government securities."

Assen Vassilev is convinced that the Budget Extension Law will be adopted:

"At least, if someone has an ounce of sense left in their head. I don't think GERB wants the state to stop key payments and these 5% salary increases to all employees in the middle of the election campaign, and I understand that they have been paid."

He stated that the BNR limit has been raised, "and whether it has reached you is a matter of organization in the BNR".

"I don't think it is beneficial for anyone to put stress on the Bulgarian economy and for this to create social stress. That is exactly why we wanted the law to be adopted before December 31st of this year, so that there is certainty for business and people", commented Vassilev on the adoption of the second budget extension.

He explained that it is about 4 paragraphs – 3 or 4 paragraphs, the date of March 31st to be moved. The second is that the deadline for taking funds under the SAFE mechanism is expiring and "the caretaker cabinet must be given the right to sign the agreement with the EC":

"And the other things are technical amendments, there is nothing controversial in the text and it must be passed before the National Assembly is dissolved."

Vassilev also commented on the prices as a result of the military conflict in Iran.

"Currently, the increase in oil is from 60 to over 90 dollars per barrel - about 50%. This also leads to inflation, if this situation persists for up to 5 months, it will reflect on the prices of all goods with a transport component or dependent on energy prices. The good thing is that we only have one of the three energies - oil. Gas is stable in price and electricity too," explained the former finance minister and leader of the PP.

According to him, caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov has chosen cabinet members from the entire political spectrum, and the government has one main task - to hold fair elections.

"It is important to state with your actions what policy you are pursuing, it is very easy with words", he said and pointed out as an example that only the PP-DB were at the protest against Sarafov and are ready to take the retaliatory blows.

When asked why you did not elect a new SJC in the assembly, Vassilev replied:

"Boyko and Peevski have over 80 deputies, we need 160 for a new SJC. This means that if we elect, we must give a quota to Boyko or Peevski. Do you want a Supreme Judicial Council with Boyko or with Peevski? If we elect a Supreme Judicial Council with them, it means reloading the judicial system with the same outrages and dependencies."
