Nadezhda Neynski: 2,600 Bulgarians have been evacuated from the Middle East. There were also empty seats on the last two planes - 1

We plan to evacuate the last Bulgarians from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, from the airport in Riyadh. There were also empty seats on the last two planes. We have evacuated Bulgarians from Iran via Azerbaijan by land, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynski emphasized to "Face to Face" on bTV.

So far, we have evacuated over 2,600 Bulgarians with our assistance, tour operators, MTS, MT, the Situation Center. We are coordinating a unique operation of evacuating so many Bulgarians. There are more citizens. This was stated by the acting Foreign Minister.

We plan to evacuate the last Bulgarians from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, from the airport in Riyadh, added Nadezhda Neynski.

There were also empty seats in the last two planes, and civil flights have also resumed. We have evacuated Bulgarians from Iran via Azerbaijan by land, Neynski specified. I assume that the total number of people who will evacuate will be over 3,000, so there are about 400 people left, the Foreign Minister announced.

We will check the administrations everywhere to see if they have complied with the criteria and rules. The situation center will prepare a detailed report after the evacuation is completed, in which an analysis will be made of where and what happened, Neynski announced. If someone was unable to board a plane, it was for objective reasons, not at their discretion, Neynski said. I have issued an order to act according to criteria on how the evacuation should proceed, outside the order, this is now a matter of the morality and principles of the people on the ground, the Foreign Minister emphasized.

There is no direct danger to Bulgaria, Neynski stated. We rely on our NATO allies in principle. In order for a missile to reach Bulgaria from Iran, it must pass through the entire territory of Turkey, that is, the entire anti-missile and air defense of Turkey also protects against a missile reaching Bulgaria. We have air defense as well, Neynski pointed out. We have a good anti-drone system and we have an alliance there as well. There is also currently no terrorist threat to Bulgaria, Neynski emphasized.
