Analysts: The biggest challenge after the elections will be forming a majority - 1

In the first days of the election campaign, there is no sharp confrontation, but such can be expected at the end of the campaign. This was stated by journalist Emilia Milcheva on bTV.

"Usually, the mud that is poured is poured in the last week. So until then, we can expect a moderate campaign, in which everyone grabs their voters according to the goals they have set for themselves," she also said.

According to her, the emergence of a new political player (ed. note: "Progressive Bulgaria") will lead to a rearrangement of electoral attitudes. "The emergence of a new player means that the remaining parties will have to be brave, and some will drop out altogether", Milcheva predicted.

Regarding the requests to fight the oligarchic model, she noted the lack of specificity: "We all want him to name who supports this oligarchic model, so that we know that he will not fight phantoms. But he does not name him".

According to Georgi Harizanov, Rumen Radev's new political project draws support mainly from previous sympathizers. "The main electoral donor will come from parties that have been more sympathetic to him until now, rather than from opponents", the political analyst believes.

He described the presented platform as a combination of familiar and new elements: "If we use a joke - it's taken from weddings in the English-speaking world - something old, something new, something borrowed".

Both analysts were adamant that the biggest challenge after the elections will be forming a majority.

"We have not seen a majority of 160 votes from one party. Here we come to the question – who would I support, who would I not support", Milcheva said.

Harizanov emphasized the lack of confrontation at the beginning of the campaign: –GERB acts conservatively – there are no attacks against opponents, the messages are directed at traditional voters".

The expectations are that real conflicts and clarity about possible coalitions will only manifest themselves in the last days before the vote and after the election results.
