Martin Dimitrov: In 7 years with right-wing policies we can reach 90% of the average income in the EU - 1

“In 7 years with right-wing policies we can reach 90% of the average income in the European Union, which Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania already have.
This ambitious goal can be achieved with modernization, digitalization and dealing with the inflated costs inherited from the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet. This was stated by economist Martin Dimitrov, candidate for MP from PP-DB in 24 MIR-Sofia with number 104, in the program “The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov” on BNT.

Dimitrov is categorical that non-market approaches not only do not work, but also create more problems, although they may sound interesting at first. And he gave Hungary as an example, which has the highest inflation in the EU.

And the ideas of Russophile formations to lift sanctions against Russia and import Russian oil were refuted by the situation in Serbia, where fuel prices are higher than those in our country, although Belgrade has not imposed any sanctions on Moscow.

The candidate for People's Representative from the PP-DB believes that in the current global fuel crisis, Bulgaria is in a disadvantageous position due to the governance of GERB and DPS-New Beginning. “GERB gave up being a right-wing
party, they started raising social security contributions and taxes, they missed the deficit.

We have missed expenses and an international crisis at the same time, which puts us in a more unstable situation than usual. And accordingly, the possibilities for compensatory measures are weaker”, said Dimitrov. He warned that we must urgently control spending to avoid raising taxes.

“Don't listen to the talk, watch the actions. When we submitted over 20 proposals to the parliament for right-wing measures, they were not adopted. For example, hospitals should hold tenders for spending money from the National Health Insurance Fund, and the patient should receive text messages so that you can control what happens when he goes to the doctor. They were not adopted, without arguments”, said Dimitrov.

“It could mean taking action against vote buying”, said Martin Dimitrov on the occasion of the exceptional, in his words, activity of the Minister of Interior Emi Dechev. And he asked why the previous cabinets had not shown such activity. But he added that “Yes, Bulgaria” and the PP-DB coalition will also have a key role in protecting the integrity of the vote with direct monitoring in the risk sections through advocates and observers and
the activity of volunteers from the initiative “You Count”.

“DB and PP are mobilized to achieve the highest possible results.
Our important task is to work especially among those several hundred thousand citizens who have said they will vote, but have not yet decided for whom”. According to him, preferences are a good way to attract additional votes and reminded that he himself always runs a preferential campaign.

When asked about the post-election interaction of PP-DB with Rumen Radev's formation "Progressive Bulgaria", Dimitrov replied: "Nobody knows what "Progressive Bulgaria" is, they are a black box, nobody has seen the true content of PB, and they don't know it." According to him, the attitude towards PB will depend on whether it categorically supports the key positions for PP-DB - that Bulgaria should be at the heart of the EU, as a condition for our economic development and security, and that categorical actions should be taken against the oligarchic corruption model. “These are the two things that Radev and the PB have not yet given a definitive answer to”, said Martin Dimitrov.

According to him, Borisov and Peevski are a symbol of how Bulgaria should not be governed. And therefore, which formation can participate in the constitutional majority for the judiciary will be decided after the elections. The goal of the PP-DB is to win every vote that can bring it closer to achieving its major goals. Martin Dimitrov called on citizens to vote for the PP-DB with number 7 on the ballot, saying: “We are the true guarantor that Bulgaria will develop on a pro-European path, categorical measures will be taken against corruption and Bulgaria will become an increasingly better place to live through rapid economic development”.
