The "Petrohan" case is a shame for the services. This was stated by the former interior minister Valentin Radev on the air of "Oporni hora".

He criticized the responsible institutions for not providing additional information on the case with the victims of "Petrohan" and "Okolchitsa".

Sharp criticism of the services

"You asked me if they are connected - well, obviously. Since they are silent and say nothing. There is no press conference for "Petrohan" - an elementary thing - are there no more facts? Why do we read things on websites that the prosecutor's office, together with the Ministry of Interior, should come out with, and add a little more information so that we don't remain in confusion. At least tell us something more, don't leave us in the hands of websites and information from unregulated channels," Radev also emphasized on the air of Bulgaria ON AIR.
Vote buying
He also commented on the actions of the caretaker government in the fight against bought votes.

"At first glance, it seems like this government, especially the Minister of Interior, is currently very active - who hasn't they caught, what hasn't they done. In my opinion, this is an exaggerated PR campaign," he stressed.
Radev quoted the words of constitutionalist Prof. Mihail Konstantinov that there is obviously a bought vote, but he is only fighting with increased voter turnout.

"This is what we need to do - the Ministry of Interior cannot help here, the parties must help here... And what is the Ministry of Interior doing at the moment? It is catching everyone, and now. To quote Prof. Konstantinov again - he says that when you buy, you buy before or after. Immediately before the elections, money is given out, if there is any. And then - when the results are known", added the former minister.

According to him, it is good for the Ministry of Interior to focus its efforts on dealing with the war on the road.
The former interior minister described the agreement between Bulgaria and Ukraine as a "bad PR move".

"I hope this has some political resonance that we are not aware of - that it was so necessary for Zelensky to go to our medium-sized Bulgaria and tell it that he will help in this way and that he can use it for internal consumption or politically. I hope there was something like that. Otherwise, it seems to me like a PR move, they shouldn't have done it if there is no such thing, and they should have left it to the regular government, which will come in just a few months", concluded Valentin Radev.
